Common questions

Everything patients ask first

How quickly can I get a first appointment?

Typically within days — not months. Availability depends on your preferred format (in-office vs telehealth) and schedule. Evening and Saturday slots are often available.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly. If your insurance plan requires a referral for coverage, we’ll help you understand that before your visit.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and Railroad Medicare, as well as CareFirst / BCBS, Aetna, Aetna Better Health, Cigna, Optum / UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Tricare, MultiPlan, Priority Partners, MedStar Family Choice, Maryland Physicians Care, and Amerigroup. Self-pay options are available if you don’t have insurance or prefer not to use it.

Is telehealth available statewide?

Yes. Secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth is available to patients across Maryland. In-office care is offered in Gaithersburg.

Who do you see?

Adults and adolescents seeking psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis support, and medication management for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.

What happens in the first visit?

Your first appointment is a comprehensive evaluation of about 60 minutes. We’ll talk through history, current symptoms, medications, and goals, then outline a personalized plan.

Are treatment plans reviewed for safety?

Yes. Every treatment plan is reviewed with a licensed Clinical Pharmacist before and during your care — an extra layer of safety.

How long does booking take?

About two minutes online, or you can call (240) 901-9687. The process is HIPAA-compliant.

What if I need to cancel?

Please give as much notice as you can so we can offer the slot to someone else waiting. Specific cancellation policies will be shared when you book.

Is my information private?

Yes. We follow HIPAA requirements and use secure systems for records and telehealth.
